I never believed I could set up a blog all by myself! Here it is! We are having a wonderful Viking III licensing at this time at the Holiday Inn. Ladies here from all over the country as well as Canada. I am thinking about-notice I said thinking about not doing-revising my business book Turn Your Hobby Into Money which has been out of print many years. Soon I hope to schedule some time. I am thinking about changing the title to Hobby to Profit Through G.R.A.C.E which was my original title. G.R.A.C.E. is my business philosophy which I talk about lots in the book. Grace= God, R= Resilience, A=Action (dreams without a plan of action will get one nowhere), C=Creativity, E= Enthusiasm. Right now the revision is just a dream. Action is what I need to make this happen.
One a personal note. Joe bathed Bobbin this morning. I dried him with a hair dryer and he absolutely adores being dried with a hair dryer. He will sit still as long as you keep the hair dryer going. And you know Bobbin (rat terrior) does not sit still very much.
I have a new granny van that seats 8 people! I have never been so excited about a vehicle. Since we have 18 grandchildren-14 live in Huntsville-I plan to drive a van for the rest of my life.
I'll stop writing and see if I can get this post up on my blog. I have no idea that it will or won't.

Congratulations on having more time to enjoy your family and interests!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Martha!!! I just started a blog this summer. I must warn you.....it is "sew" easy to get lost in blog-land!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed meeting you during your recent trip to Columbia SC. I'm still soaking my vitage clothing....I wonder if I'll ever finish! I look forward to having another way to try and keep up with you!
hugs, Terri
Hi Martha!! Way to go, you are becoming so good with technology!!! It will be great to keep up with what you are doing. God Bless Hugs Sis
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to see if this comment post thing is working. God Bless, Martha
ReplyDeleteHi Martha,
ReplyDeleteAm so glad to have found you. I haven't been able to attend one of your schools yet but hope to do so one of these days. I have a deep love of Huntsville as I was in the Class of 1970 at Huntsville High. You have done well for your first try with your blog. Hope to read of your adventures in sewing & being a grandmother. Will look forward to the revision of your book.
Happy Stitching!

Way to go Martha. I'm sew proud of you. Now you will have to determine how to get those people out of your camera. Those "camera fairies" that work for you won't help you any more now that you're technology literate. And make sure you post a picture of that new van. Take care!
ReplyDeleteBucko - remember me?
Welcome to the Blogosphere, Martha!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have you join the millions of people who share their sewing/cooking/decorating ideas daily.
I've only been blogging a little while myself but I love it & have learned so much. Its good to keep those brain cells active.
I have links on my blog (just click on my name) to several really good seamstresses' blogs, (they've been featured in Sew Beautiful many times) Laurie Anderson, Sara Norris, Janet Gilbert just to name a few.
You're welcome to stop by & pick up their addy's from my sidebar. Then you'll be able to see what everyone is doing with your wonderful patterns, fabrics & laces.
WE LOVE YOU, MARTHA!!!
Congratulations on your new blog. Isn'technology wonderful? I look forward to many updates.
ReplyDeleteHello Martha,
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to find you in blogland! I've been blogging for a couple of years, mostly just for myself (and family). I hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as I have.
I am looking forward to attending my first School of Art Fashion session, hopefully, you'll be having one in July again!
God Bless,
Karen Lawson
